Observing, Supporting and Assisting in local Puppy Classes (Karen Pryor Academy) – February-June 2019
Over 20 hours of observations, support and involvement at puppy classes, all different breeds and stages. Classes held both inside and outside (in a park) each class taking a maximum of 6 puppies. This was with Cassie Bond (Karen Pryer Academy – Certified Training Partner and an ABTC Registered Animal Trainer).
Including: the science of how dogs learn, body language, principles of canine behaviour, building a one to one consultation, behaviour modification and rehabilitation, practical demonstrations and case studies.
Including: perfect foundations, stages and senses, common pitfalls, important first exercises, common new owner issues, why puppies end up in rescue and how to avoid, helping the nervous puppy, home visits, one to one consultations, group classes, puppy classes and when is it play and when is it aggression?

Including: Finding premises, advertising, professional packages for clients, sourcing contacts, insurance, charges and setting up classes.

Includes: Vitals, full body examination, CPR, bleeding, shock, choking, road accidents, burns and scalds, bleeding and poisoning
